China-bound Cargo: China Customs Advance Manifest (CCAM) Update

Please be informed that the China Customs has released Order No. 144 [2019] to adjust the China Customs Advance Manifest (CCAM) regulation. The adjusted rule takes effect from 15 November 2019.

Please note the following key points in the adjusted rule:

  1. For all cargo bound for China mainland ports, including transshipments in China, the advanced manifest must be submitted electronically to China Customs no later than 24 hours prior to loading onto vessels that sail to China.
  2. Submission must include an accurate and total representation of all goods under the Bills of Lading (BL)

To simplify data requirements, please note that the below information are no longer mandatory:

  • Consignor’s company code
  • Consignee’s company code
  • Name of contact person for Consignee
  • Phone number of contact person for Consignee
  • Notify Party’s company code
